What is the "Song of an Alien Series"?
When many colors are blended together, the outcome is gray. Gray is perceived to lack any distinctive character. Yet, gray has the capacity to embrace every color of the spectrum. Monks wear clothing that is gray because it represents a balance of extremes. It is this gray that I have used to as a background on which to paint.
The Forms of clouds shift from each moment to fleeting moment at joyful warm of Nature. The forms of our lives are like these metamorphosing clouds. – varying in thoughts and patterns, moment by moment. No one knows when and in what way one will undergo change. I use clouds in my paintings because they portray this aspect of our lives.
Stripped of its leaves, a tree in winter stands stark and barren, lonely and forlorn throughout the season. Yet at spring’s arrival. Its limbs know again budding green that soon become a covering of dense foliage and abundant blossoms. The coming of spring is the dream that instills hope during a dark, lonely period of time. Through this imagery, the heart of someone who endures hardships with the hope spring’s warm arrival is portrayed.
Late in autumn, the sky is spotted with fluttering dry leaves, having no idea where to go, blown by the wind in whatever which way I find myself, living a lift with no foresight, in the fallen leaves.
